Does Cayman have its own currency?

Answer

The Cayman Islands dollar is the official currency of the Cayman Islands, although U.S. dollars are readily accepted everywhere. The country's currency is usually identified within the Cayman Islands as CI$. Hotels tend to quote their rates in U.S. dollars, while restaurants, nightclubs, and gift shops tend to quote their prices in Cayman Islands dollars. You may want to exchange some currency into CI$.

Should we rent a car?

Answer

Renting a car is not necessary as taxis are readily available. However, if you wish to explore the island and don't want to depend on taxis, a rental car is an excellent idea.

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids and hope they make the journey to the island with you. However, we want our wedding to be your night off. We are working on arranging a babysitter to make that a reality.
