For years, our paths crossed without ever truly meeting. We attended the same high school, shared mutual friends, and celebrated life’s milestones in the same places — yet somehow, we never connected. Everything changed on Vanessa’s 24th birthday, when Anthony was invited to her birthday BBQ by that very same group of friends. He was hesitant to go, but after a little encouragement (and persistence) from them, he decided to show up. A few months later, Anthony slid into Vanessa’s DMs. One meet-up turned into many, and we have been inseparable ever since.
