Anthony and Tessa first met as many modern romances do...online. After being pressured by her girlfriends, Tessa signed up for Match. Thankfully, she did not adjust the age requirements on it; otherwise, they would not be here today. Tessa's minimum age at the time was 28 years old but Anthony was at the ripe age of 25. After talking for several weeks, they finally decided to meet up for their first date. They met for brunch downtown and then took a stroll to walk off the mimosas and bacon. They chatted about life and their 10 year plans. Anthony was shocked he scored a 2nd date after wearing the infamous pink t-shirt with palm trees and having to relieve himself on the side of a building (note too many mimosas). The conversation was just that good. After passing the daunting friends and family test, they both knew they had found someone very special. For the next year they enjoyed life filled with travel (most notably to Arizona when they received record snowfall, Untitled Supper Club in Chicago, and the hidden gem Bridgman, MI), date nights, house projects, and just being in each other's company. Eventually Anthony and Tessa became a family of three when they were joined by their incredible son, Camden. A thank you to their friend, Angie, for hosting the St Patty's Irish Breakfast that gave them the booze they needed to make a child...isn't that how babies are normally made? They have been through a lot over the past few years, but they have grown closer and stronger as a couple. At the end of the day they have each other, and they help carry the other when they need it. They have a wonderful village of people in their lives that have been their biggest supporters. They are so happy and excited to have the opportunity to celebrate with you all!
On October 24th, 2020, Anthony planned an elaborate date day that included a couple's massage, manicure, and dinner. The manicure may have been the moment Tessa knew something was happening...she never gets her nails done. After dinner, they made their way to Promenade Park to take a moonlit walk. Tessa stopped to take a picture of the moon. Anthony dropped down on one knee and popped the question and obviously Tessa said "YES!". They ended the night at one of their favorite spots, Rudy's, where some of their closest friends were waiting to celebrate!
