Travel & Where to Stay

Flights & Travel: There are so many options! Depending on what you would like to explore in Italy before or after, you can plan accordingly and fly out of the desired airport. No matter what flight you take, the easiest way to get around when you land in Italy is by car! You can drive directly to our venue. There is plenty of parking at our venue as well! If you are not comfortable driving, High Speed train (purchased from Trenitalia's Le Frecce or Italo) are a great option! Lastly, there are plenty of taxi options! Uber is available in Italy!! You can also utilize taxi apps like FreeNow or itTaxi. There are many hotel options nearby, as well as numerous bed-and-breakfasts and Airbnb accommodations. If you’re comfortable driving, there are additional options in the towns of Pisa and Lucca, both located about 30 minutes from the venue.

Florence

Flying into Florence will offer the quickest options to the venue, located about 45 minutes away by car to the venue, Valle di Badia. If you want to take public transport its about an hour train ride to the town of Pontedera. The quickest way to travel would be car, but you can certainly take a taxi/uber or public transportation! Google Maps is your best friend and can be used in Italy!!!

Rome Fumicino

Rome is a great option if you wish to explore before our wedding. There are numerous direct flights offered from JFK and Newark airports. Our venue is about about 3 h 30 min by car. If you wish to travel by train, the fast trains are a great option and about 2 hours and 40 minutes! You can purchase tickets here: https://www.italotreno.com/ Take a train from Roma Termini or Roma Tiburtina to Florence Santa Maria Novella. From Florence, take a regional train to Pontedera-Casciana Terme. From Pontedera, take a 15 minute taxi to your desired area in Buti our wedding celebration!

Pisa Airport

Although there are no direct flights, Pisa is a great option if you are located for the closest airport to the venue, Located about 30 minutes from our venue by car. You can also take a train from Pisa Centrale to Pontedera-Casciana Terme, then taxi to your hotel!

Milan

Milan is a great option if you would like to visit Northern Italy regions including Lake Como, Verona, Venice, the Dolomites or Cinque Terre. Buti is about 3 hour and 30 minutes from Milan by car. You can also take a high speed train from Milan to Florence or Pisa! Milan Centrale to Florence SMN to Pontedera-Casciana Terme (regional train) Milan Centrale to Pisa Centrale to Pontedera-Casciana Terme (regional train).
