It was the start of the 2011 fall semester when Stephanie and Anthony joined the business academy at California High School—not knowing the love that would unfold in the coming years. Anthony sat behind Stephanie in class, and they started off as friends but then a matching bracelet graduated them to best friends. Through this friendship grew feelings and Anthony eventually mustered up the courage to ask her out on a date. A month after their first kiss, Anthony asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend on March 4, 2011. Exactly ten years later on March 4, 2021 these high school sweethearts solidified their lifetime commitment to each other to always be the best of friends and got married! Stephanie and Anthony have broken what is known as the “Cal Hi Curse” which states any couple voted “cutest couple” by their senior class will eventually break up. Eight years after graduating, Stephanie and Anthony are still Cal Hi’s cutest couple.

Stephanie and Anthony planned to join their friends down in San Diego for a Labor Day weekend getaway. Little did Stephanie know, Anthony had a proposal planned. Everyone agreed to bring one nice outfit to dress up for a nice dinner but, it was really to ensure Stephanie looked her best. As the girls finished getting ready, they made their way upstairs where Stephanie was met with a path of roses that led out to the balcony. It wasn’t until she saw Anthony standing there with the ring that she realized she was about to make one of the biggest decisions of her life. Just as the sun met the horizon, Anthony got down on one knee and proposed. Soon we will be celebrating with all of our friends and family, we can’t wait!
