We met during our sophmore year at Andrean High School. Coincidentally, we were both new students from the same hometown (Gary, IN). We believe it was our sense of humor, great conversation, and chemisty that might’ve sparked something. As time passed we became friends, and by junior year we were BEST friends. Through this friendship, we began to fall for eachother, and in September of 2012, we officially started dating! Over the years we have grown together, accomplished major goals, and pushed each other to be the best version of ourselves! More importantly, we have fallen more in love each year. ♥️

Anthony: I was away on business for about a week or so. Since I would only be home for a few days before being gone another week, I told Shay I wanted to do something nice when I came home. I told her we would spend the day doing fun stuff in Chicago. No suspicion there, because we’ve done random things like this before. ALSO, we have always complained about how we never get any good pictures! Shay kept mentioning how she wanted to take proffesional photos. With all this in mind, I came up with a plan. Shay: What was disguised as a “photo tour” around the city, was really a chance to pop the question! At our last stop, Anthony suggested I get some pictures by myself. While taking a few solo pictures, he came in, got down on one knee, and (after saying some beautiful words) asked me to marry him! At this point we both were crying, and ofcourse, I SAID YES!!
