We first met at a friend's house party, shared a passing glance and some small-talk but not much else. Fast forward a few months and we found ourselves on a trip to the mountains together, with that same group of friends. A few hikes together and time spent attempting to cook over a campfire allowed our connection to grow and we realized we shared much in common, in not only our goals and values, but especially our senses of humor and love of mexican food. Once we got back to Philadelphia , Anthony asked Riley out on a date. We settled on dinner at El Vez, a spot that would become one of our favorites to make memories. As luck (or love) would see it, our table was sat right next to another couple. They could tell we were on a first date and shared a story about how they had their first date at the same place, same table. They would go on to say they were getting married later that month. It was almost as if in that moment, we both crossed our fingers under the table and hoped to re-tell the same story of our own years later.
