We met in a coffee shop, a Starbucks to be precise. The forecast called for a tableau of clear skies, a languid warm sun and enough traffic to make me no less than 6 minutes late. The spring menu was prominently effaced to the storefront, framing my grand entrance with a boldness I could only hope to reproduce as I introduced myself to the stunning woman of emerald eyes before me. "Hi, I'm Kevin, are you Bekah?" What began as a relatively chance encounter is now a volume of romance, adventure, peril, and enough twists and turns to architect a road on the Swiss Alps. Our story is not a footnote but a volume, still actively penned which not only tells the tale of our relationship but our development into the people you are celebrating today. Marriage is a consolidation of forces, a promise that we will be each others checks and balances. In many ways, my soon to be wife is not just my greatest friend but my greatest teacher. Much like the multi-faceted stone on Bekah's left hand, we have many sides that we present to the public, in private, to family, to the workplace and to each other. I believe that we help each other present every side of us in a light that is dazzling and ever brighter. Our story is one that is only just beginning but also one who's opening chapters have made me the man who will be the proudest man on Earth as I wait for my gorgeous bride to meet me at the altar.
