For any questions about travel, accommodations, or the itinerary, please reach out to Anthony Maltese.
Question

Do I need a passport or visa?

Answer

Yes, a valid passport is required to enter Guatemala, but U.S. citizens do not need a visa for short stays. All travelers must fill out an electronic immigration declaration form to enter and exit.

Question

What expenses to expect

Answer

Since this is a destination wedding, we know it takes extra planning to attend. You’ll want to budget for your flight, lodging for both Guatemala City Hyatt ($160, +10 per additional guest) and Antigua. Also the optional Volcano ATV Tour will be $120. Once you’re here, we’ll take care of the shuttle from Guatemala City to Antigua, Welcome Dinner and Farewell Breakfast.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love all the little ones, our wedding day will be an adults only celebration. We truly appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you.

Question

What if I don't want to attend a certain event?

Answer

That is totally fine! We know not every event is for everyone. Feel free to look through the Food & Sights tab for alternative activities such massages, photo-shoots and breweries.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation for your guest allowance. Unless specified, you are not to bring an additional guest. If you have questions, contact Anthony directly.

Question

What weather should I Expect? How should I pack?

Answer

Early March in Antigua, Guatemala is warm and pleasant, with sunny days around 82–84 °F and cooler evenings near 57–61 °F. Rain is rare since it’s still the dry season, but you might see the occasional light shower. Pack light, breathable clothes for daytime, plus a sweater or light jacket for evenings. Comfortable walking shoes for the cobblestone streets are a must. Don’t forget sun protection and swimwear!

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift we could hope for! We’re fortunate to already have everything we need, and what matters most to us is sharing this special moment with you. If you’d like to celebrate in another way, a contribution toward our honeymoon would help us create memories we’ll treasure forever.

Question

Do i need local currency?

Answer

Almost all establishments take credit cards, so carrying cash is unnecessary. However, if you'd like to take back some as a souvenir, I do recommend it, as the national currency is one of the best looking ones in circulation. You can do this at local banks to avoid high transaction fees.

Question

Will I have phone service?

Answer

We highly recommend downloading & using Airalo to have connectivity throughout your stay. You'll be able to purchase an E-sim (no need to physically change sims) & have data throughout your stay. Use promo code of ANTHON9873 or LYNNET3515 for a discount.
