We’re getting married.!!

Kimi side of the story: Anthony just moved into the neighborhood that summer. He and my brother Geo knew each other from school. One day Anthony was making burgers and he was out of cheese so he called Geo and asked if he could buy four pieces of cheese for a dollar. Me being the nosey little sister I am I was waiting on the front porch to see who was coming over to buy cheese because I loved cheese.! That was the first time I met Anthony. As days passed he became closer to Geo and started hanging out with us kids in the neighborhood. I found Anthony very attractive but way out of my league. Our bond of friendship became very strong over the years. Fast forward to 2015 Anthony lived in North Carolina and I was just getting ready to move to Arizona, I was in need of a friend to talk to who would understand life the way I seen it so I reached out to him via Facebook. He called me that night and we talked on the phone for hours.! Then we started talking once a week, then twice a week, then every day we were texting and talking on the phone. One night he expressed to me how happy he was talking to me everyday and how I made his days better and next thing you know he was asking me out haha. Anthony would come to Michigan to see me and I visited NC for the first time. We also drove and met each other half way in West Virginia. I then moved to Arizona and we continued our long distance relationship, I got home sick and told Anthony I wanted to move back to Michigan. He said okay let’s do it, I’ll move back too. And that’s what we did. We both moved back to Michigan got our first apartment together. We had some rough patches just like every relationship does, we separated for a short time (a few times haha). We made it official again in 2020. Christmas Eve of 2022 he proposed. Which leads us to now.! Anthony’s side of the story: Well I guess our story begins like any good love story. With food. I made some cheese burgers for Martel and I only to realize I had no cheese. I got ahold of my neighbor in hopes that he would uphold his neighborly duties and help a brotha out. After a successful bargain was made I happily ran over to secure the cheese. Little was I aware his little sister was creeping and plotting on how to secure me lmao 😂 Time passed and Geo and Kimberly became like siblings to me. Yep, definitely use to call her my little sister. But hey, we like board games, so playing a little taboo was nothing new to us. Graduation came along and we all went our separate ways. Kimi and I started talking daily when we lived on opposite coasts. Online games, real life games over Skype, and lots of texts/phone calls. I’m not sure what was the determining factor on her end but for me, “I just knew no one could love her like I could”. So we made it official and pushed on back down the highway to Michigan. As more time elapsed we began to experience life together in new ways. Through growth and genuine friendship we landed here. Present day. 2024. Awaiting the solidification of our process. Marriage and a happily ever after.
