Lido Marina Village
After Anthony proposed to Kelsey, they walked over to this area where some of their family and friends were waiting at Lido Bottle Works to surprise Kelsey! There is great shopping and restaurants here - some favorites include Lido Bottle Works, Malibu Farms and Nobu.
Balboa Island Ferry
The Balboa Ferry connects Balboa Island to the Balboa Peninsula. The ferry runs from 6:30am-12am daily. It is cash only - so plan accordingly!
Bear Flag Fish Company
This is one of Kelsey and Anthony's must-eats when they travel to Newport! Kelsey recommends the Blackened Salmon Plate and Anthony suggests the Bear Flag Burrito.
Catalina Island
If you're extending your time in CA, we could not recommend a visit to Catalina Island enough. You can make it a day trip, or stay overnight - Catalina has amazing views, snorkeling and hiking. The Catalina Flyer is a 1.5 hour ferry that drops you off right in the heart of Avalon. It departs from Newport Beach daily at 7:30am and departs Catalina at 4:30pm, which is a perfect amount of time to rent a golf cart for an island tour, grab lunch and rent kayaks or do a little snorkeling! Be sure to book your round trip ferry tickets in advance to ensure availability.
