On one of their last nights at UConn, Anthony and his friends went to Huskies to celebrate. His roommate's girlfriend brought her friend from study abroad, Karonica. Over the next few years, they'd see each other once or twice a year at friends' get togethers, but it took three years for them to come to their senses and admit their feelings for each other. So even though Karonica had just moved to Boston and Anthony was living in New Jersey, they decided to take a chance. They never looked back! (Fun fact - we were looking through Facebook photos and realized we were at the same "Thrift Shop" party months before that night at Huskies. Anthony was sporting a UConn snuggie and Karonica in her neon zebra print top).

Anthony and Karonica went on a picnic to Liberty State Park, overlooking the NYC skyline and Statue of Liberty. Just as the sun was setting, Anthony popped the question, and of course Karonica said YES!
