Yes, we met at Britannia Arms! We were both there to meet our friend Jennifer Jones, hang out, and sing Karaoke. She had introduced us a year prior in another group setting, but we never talked much. This particular night, I started talking to "Tony" as they call him at Karaoke. He swooped in to save me from some not so pleasant characters, pretending to be my boyfriend. The shoe fit! The next day I asked Jennie for his number so I could text him and say thank you for protecting me. We never stopped talking since that day. Nice move Anthony!

We had been hiking a few times along the skyline ridge so I didn't think anything unusual was in store when he suggested a hike this particular Sunday morning. We enjoyed a 5 mile hike, talking about our lives, our future, and where it was headed, when suddenly he stops on the trail and turns around to say "I think this is it". He dropped to one knee and got the words will you marry me out while I was still shouting "NO WAY, NO WAY" because I just didn't expect it that day AT ALL. Ever the lover of surprises, he really got me! Needless to say, I said yes! Come to find out later, he knew he wanted to propose while hiking, and I had cancelled my own engagement a few weeks before unknowingly because my knee hurt!
