Question

When do you need my RSVP?

Answer

We ask that all guest RSVP by April 15th.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to allow additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 3:30 PM, so please arrive with enough time to find your seats. You should feel free to show up as early as 3:00 PM.

Question

What are the COVID health and safety measures?

Answer

We are requiring that all guests be fully vaccinated, including all recommended boosters according to CDC guidelines. If you are feeling any cold or flu-like symptoms, we ask that you please stay home. If you have any questions or concerns about this requirement, please reach out to us.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be outdoors in the Thursday Club's garden and the reception will be inside their clubhouse.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The theme is summer cocktail attire. We embrace all things bright and colorful. Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, traditional Igbo wear, and suits and ties. Once the sun sets, it can get quite cool and a wrap or cardigan is suggested.

Question

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

Answer

We are not providing any formal transportation for the events, but our ceremony and reception are taking place in a residential neighborhood. Therefore there is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Lyft or Uber is a great option for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.

Question

What will the traditional Igbo ceremony include?

Answer

During the reception, we will have the wine carrying ceremony and money spray. The wine carrying ceremony is when the bride is given a cup of wine to take to the groom after the parents pray upon the wine. The money spray, or money dance, is when the bride and groom dance and guests will "spray" or "rain" money upon them. You can bring as little or as much money as you want (you do not need to bring singles - there will be a table where you can exchange cash for singles). This is a boisterous celebration - so be prepared to dance and party.
