After weeks of exchanging messages, it was settled, we would meet for a drink on a Saturday evening. Anthony was running 2 hours late (thanks to work). Hilary was weighing if she should just cancel all together. But they both decided to give it a chance and see what happens. After an hour or so of chatting, we realized that we'd both just bought houses right behind each other and are backyard neighbors! Anthony jokes that he was just in this for access to Hilary's pool and Hilary teases that Anthony stalked her :) Who would have thought that we'd find love right in our own backyards.

We had planned an amazing 2 week trip to Greece to celebrate Hilary's birthday - a dream trip around the Greek Islands and Athens. In the weeks leading up to the trip, people kept asking Hilary if she thought Anthony would propose, but as the trip drew closer and no talk of rings or marriage came up, she thought no way would he propose. We arrived in Santorini and it was every bit as beautiful as we could have imagined. On our second day, as we watched the sunset over the Aegean Sea with a bottle of wine, Anthony proposed! He even filled in another guest with his plans and asked them to take pictures of the surprise moment. We joke that Anthony has set the bar too high for himself with such an amazing proposal, but we look forward to trying to top it for the rest of our lives together.
