This is where Anthony and I met. It’s a short hour drive along the bay revealing a small, beautiful, coastal town. It has loads to do from walking famous cannery row, to snorkeling and kayaking, to great bites (text for a recommendation)! If you have the time we encourage it!
HWY 1 to Big Sur
Some of the most picturesque coast in the United States is just south of Monterey. The Highway 1 drive down is truly 1 of 1 and on a clear day the views cannot be beat.
Golden Gate Bridge Vista Point

The Golden Gate is north of Santa Cruz about an hour and is one of the most famous bridges in the world. You drive, walk, or bike across. We definitely recommend driving and then taking the left up into Marin Headlands to see the bridge against the city. It’s a wonderful place for a picnic lunch!
