Wells Beach
This is a wonderful seven-mile long sandy beach with areas for surfing. If you park at the end of Mile Road, ignore the rocks and set off either north or south to the sandy sections. There are parking meters at Mile Road and limited free parking is available.
Drakes Island Beach
This long, sandy beach is usually not as busy as the main section of Wells Beach. However, there is only limited parking at the lot on the eastern end of Drakes Island Road. There are restroom facilities and a lifeguard-patrolled area.
Moody Beach, Maine
This is a great spot for walking, or to watch the dramatic rise and fall of the tide at the end of Ocean Ave in Wells. You can walk for miles on Moody Beach, which eventually becomes North Beach, then Footbridge Beach and finally, Ogunquit Beach. Paid public parking is available at the very end of Ocean Avenue, with restroom facilities.
Wells Harbor Park
This beach is located at the end of Harbor Road. There’s not much sand at high tide, but it’s a wonderful beach for children at mid-and low-tide, when there are lots of sand bars and tidal pools with crabs. It is less crowded than Wells Beach, and has restroom facilities, a playground, picnic tables and free parking.
Hobbs Harborside Restaurant
Erins personal favorite!! Ever wonder where we are in our summer time date night photos, over looking wells Harbor while sipping on espresso martinis?? Hobbs Harborside is our jam. If you love fresh seafood with an ocean view, I can’t recommend Hobbs enough! Tell our favorite bartenders Craig an Ethen we sent ya!
Mike's Clam Shack
Visit Hailey at work! Mikes is a large family style restaurant! They also have takeout! They have a large menu, if you have a hankering they will have your fix!
Mekhong Thai Wells
Anthony’s top pick! If you like Thai food you won’t find any better than this! Super fresh and mega delish! Erin says the portions are huge!, guaranteed leftovers! Anthony has been known to clean his plate!
The Steakhouse
“The Best of Prime & Choice Western Beef, Seafood and Chicken” Wells Maine’s famous steakhouse! If you love juicy steak then we recommend the steak house with out a doubt!! Set in a giant barn the food and atmosphere is simply perfect. There is guaranteed a wait, but well worth it!
For The Love Of Food & Drink
Hands down the BEST breakfast and lunch in town! Truly the kindest owners and staff. Their food is locally sourced, made from scratch recipes, and amazingly fresh and delicious. They offer gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options as well!
