Sometimes when two people find each other it just makes your heart smile and say, “Wow, God is good.”

Emily and Anthony met each other in the fall of 2013 on the UW-Platteville Campus as they returned for work and school. Neither of them knew that they would live right down the hall from the future love of their life. In the midst of ResLife training, Anthony grew to know the "snorting Emily" as a fun loving, full of energy gal who loved her Easy-Mac and Disney. Emily knew Anthony as her supervisor that was really good at fixing her email and computer problems and looked pretty good in a flannel and ball cap. Throughout the year, their individual paths crossed a few times, but it would take more time for them to grow closer together. Fast forward to the summer of 2014 when Emily invited Anthony to go to Country Jam along with her family, and that's where they got to know each other outside of school. Anthony showed up on his motorcycle loaded with camping gear, and Emily brought her bubbly attitude and of course her favorite wolf sweatshirt (complete with pockets!). It was over the course of that weekend that sparks flew and both Emily and Anthony began to see the possibility of a future together. However, they still wouldn't start dating until the summer/fall of 2015. Emily was busy at vet school in Madison and Anthony was up in Stillwater working out of the Twin Cities when they started dating. Throughout the years, Anthony was there to support Emily both from near and far as she continued her studies. Emily enjoyed her free weekends visiting Anthony and his family and the many adventures they had - motorcycling, wineries, malt shops, and more! Emily graduated in May of 2018 and both her and Anthony took jobs near Milwaukee. After almost 3 years, and thousands of miles later, Anthony got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him, and she said "Yes!"
