After a series of incredible events, we were brought together on a snowy Wednesday in December. Anthony had been shopping for pants at a Target in a different town and decided he wanted another pair when he made his way to my home store. That day I was working in the men's department when I saw him come down the aisle to ask me for help. His pants weren't there so we had to find him a different brand. We got to talking and found out that he knew my dad from years ago working in my town's bowling alley. Before he left, Anthony handed me his business card and said "feel free to reach out if you know anyone who needs a paint job". I of course had no clue what was happening and said I don't know anyone who needs one but I would keep him in mind. With a little smile on his face he said...... "or for anything else." After that snowy Wednesday connected by fate, we saw our future and forever.
You know those perfect proposals that you see all over Instagram and Facebook and wish that was you? Well, I think our proposal was pretty perfect. A lantern festival set in the country with food trucks, live entertainment, and a couple thousand people on the hottest day of the summer was about to be one of the biggest moments of our lives. As we lit off our lanterns, along with the other three thousand people at the event, I turned to my right and saw a box in Anthony's hand. After a beautiful speech (that both of us have a hard time remembering), Anthony got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course I SAID YESSS!!! We hugged and watched as the lanterns floated out of sight. The most beautiful evening for the most beautiful moment we had shared together thus far.
