Anthony and Courtnei first crossed paths as undergraduate students, at Middle Tennessee State University. Years later, their paths realigned while they were volunteering at a legal expungement clinic. Shortly after, Anthony innocently slid in Courtnei's DM to give support and encouragement for her upcoming bar exam. Little did they know that this would spark a connection and lead to a beautiful journey together. While the pandemic sent shockwaves throughout the world in 2020, a silver lining is that time slowed down enough to allow Courtnei and Anthony to really learn more about each other. What started off as a "COVID boo", lead to a relationship. As the relationship grew, the couple started to realize that this relationship was nothing like either one had experienced before. On September 10, 2023 (one day before his birthday), Anthony received the greatest birthday gift ever...the chance to ask Courtnei for her hand in marriage. After some strong convincing, Anthony was able to persuade Courtnei to come with him to go look at the progress of their new home. To her surprise, she was joined by family and the sweet serenade of a saxophone player as they entered the lot. While Courtnei was still trying to process the moment, Anthony got on bended knee and asked her to marry him, in which she graciously said "Yes." The couple is very grateful and excited to be celebrating their union with you. While the wedding is a one day event, marriage is a life long journey. With the grace and provision of God, the support of family and friends, and the ever growing love for each other, Courtnei and Anthony look forward to spending the rest of their lives with each other.
