Our love story began three years ago at a kickball game. Tony volunteered to sub-in at his groomsman Will’s plea. The team was short on players and Claire, being team captain, was not going to forfeit. During the game Tony watched as Claire hassled the umpire over his bad calls. He knew this was someone he would have to ask out. As fate would have it, Claire saw Tony walking across the field and thought to herself “who’s this cutie?” Despite our intentions, it was not until two weeks later that our paths crossed again. Bridesmaid Carolyn set us up to join a boat party on Lake Michigan. After a day of flirting, back flips, and high fives Tony asked Claire out to dinner. Only a few dates in we both knew we had found the one person that many people spend their entire lives searching for. Just over 2 years later Tony brought Claire back to that original kickball field. Claire took her place behind home plate ready to lead off the game. After a phenomenal kick and a play riddled with fielding errors Claire rounded third to head home. This is when she saw Tony down on one knee. Surrounded by our family and friends, Tony asked Claire to marry him and without a moment hesitation she said yes. We celebrated on the field the rest of the afternoon celebrating how lucky we are to have found each other. This coming June 4th, four years to the day from when we first met, we will say "I do." We are beyond excited to share this special day with our family and friends.
