On the coldest day of the year—December 21, 2024—Anthony “Tony” O. Johnson surprised Charlotte A. Sloan with a heartfelt proposal at National Harbor, Maryland, surrounded by close family and friends. A love-filled engagement reception followed, marking the beginning of their forever. Tony first noticed Charlotte in photos from a trip to Puerto Rico, posted by his cousin Sierra. Fate soon aligned when Charlotte, out enjoying a motorcycle ride to Custom T’s Motorsport Park, happened to cross paths with Tony doing what he loves. An introduction was made. In September 2022, after a year of sweet “Good morning, beautiful” texts, the two shared a dinner date. Though Charlotte wasn’t interested in a relationship at first, Tony’s patience, kindness, and charm began to open her heart. A shared love of Southern soul music, laughter, and a few magical dinner dates (with Sierra still playing matchmaker), led to them officially becoming a couple in March 2023. Both having experienced life, love, and lessons—including raising three children each and two previous marriages—they now look forward to their God-ordained third time being the charm. This time, it’s 'til death do us part.
