If you are a Catholic in a state of grace, then you are welcome and encouraged to partake in the receipt of holy communion. A state of grace essentially means that one did not commit a serious sin since that last time he or she received absolution from confession. So if you are a Catholic who is not currently in a state of grace but you want to receive communion, please be sure to go to confession and do penance before the mass.
It is usually a 20 minute drive without much traffic. However, since the wedding is taking place on a Friday afternoon, there will likely be traffic. So the drive may take longer than usual.
Most women should wear formal dresses or gowns. Most men can choose to either wear a tuxedo or a formal suit. Active, Reserve, or National Guard servicemen should wear their respective uniforms.
