“We’re getting married!”

They met at Sophia and Luca's baptism on May 6, 2018, destiny was set for them to meet as their schedules coincided to be free and attend the event. America, being the only one from her group of friends that could attend was hungry and opted to sit near the buffet, little did she know that there were assigned seats. At the moment she received a text from a friend that was on her way to attend the reception. She then shuffled all the name tags to have her and the friend sit together. This friend was late to the reception. When Anthony and his brothers arrived, they were confused on how the seating arrangements were placed. There, Anthony and America exchanged their first words of "hello". They danced together and learned a little bit about each other while enjoying a drink. The event ended and in the most gentleman way possible Anthony shook her hand saying "it was very nice to meet you" and left. America disappointed that her number was not asked for but blown away by the chivalry said "nice to meet you too" and left. For a whole week America wondered if Anthony was interested in her and why he didn't he ask for her number. A week later Anthony found her on instagram and messaged her. He invited her to their first date at Citi field for a Mets game. Not knowing anything about baseball she immediately said "YES". After the game they took a walk around Flushing Meadows park towards the unisphere, (the world as she called it), where a kiss was almost exchanged and their first trip was planned. At that moment the adventures of Anthony and America had begun.

Se conocieron en el bautismo de Sophia y Lucas el 6 de mayo de 2018, el destino estaba marcado para que se encontraran ya que sus horarios coincidieron para estar libres y asistir al evento. América, siendo la única de su grupo de amigos que pudo asistir tenía hambre y optó por sentarse cerca del buffet, sin saber que había asientos asignados. En ese momento recibió un mensaje de texto de una amiga que iba en camino hacia la recepción. En ese momento mezcló todas las tarjetas con los nombres para que ella y su amiga se sentaran juntas. Dicha amiga llegó tarde a la recepción. Cuando Anthony y sus hermanos llegaron, estaban confundidos sobre cómo estaban colocados los asientos. Allí, Anthony y América intercambiaron sus primeras palabras de "hola". Bailaron juntos y aprendieron un poco del uno y del otro mientras disfrutaban de una bebida. El evento terminó y de la manera más caballerosa posible Anthony le estrechó la mano diciendo "fue un placer conocerte" y se fue. América se decepcionó porque no le pidió su número de teléfono, pero impresionada por su caballerosidad, respondió "encantado de conocerte también" y se fue. Durante toda una semana, América, se preguntó si Anthony estaba interesado en ella y por qué no le pidió su número. Una semana después, Anthony la encontró en Instagram y le envió un mensaje. La invitó a su primera cita en el estadio Citified en Queens a un partido de los Mets; ella sin saber nada sobre béisbol, inmediatamente dijo "SÍ". Después del partido dieron un paseo por el parque Flushing Meadows hacia la unisfera, (el mundo como ella lo llamaba), donde casi se intercambiaron un beso. Ese día planearon su primer viaje juntos. En ese momento comenzaban las aventuras de Anthony y América viajando por el mundo.
