Amaya and Anthony began as acquaintances in middle school. As Anthony sat in Mrs.Linson's classroom, Amaya would occasionally wander in to grab snacks from her mom during class. Anthony would never think anything of it, except for the occasional, “Oh, she's pretty”. With Anthony being in 8th grade and Amaya in 7th, they didn't cross paths much. But since Amaya and Xavier (Anthony’s younger brother) were in the same grade, both Amaya and Anthony developed a friendship. Because of the distance and them going to different schools, Amaya and Anthony didn't get to see each other often, but they were always thinking of one another. It wasn't until Amaya's birthday where she had to ask for permission to bring a boy over. Since then they have been nearly inseparable.
