At the start of 2022, our lives were moving in familiar but separate circles — each of us rooted in our own city, unaware of how close we were to crossing paths. One night, while Anthony was passing through Toronto on the way from London to Montreal, that distance disappeared, and a fateful moment of overlap became an introduction to each other. Had that stop never happened — our paths may never have crossed. It’s why our relationship has always felt anchored in fate, and why, from the very beginning, we knew we were meant to find each other. What followed felt effortless and instinctive. For nearly two years, we spent almost every weekend together, weaving life around long drives, familiar routes, and time that only strengthened what we were building. Eventually, all that time led us to the same place — here in Toronto. Moving in together marked the beginning of our next chapter and made permanent what had already felt certain. After a year and a half of living together, we decided to travel to what is now both of our favourite place on earth — Italy. It was the first time either of us had been there, and it quickly became unforgettable. In Tuscany, beneath a golden sky, Mark proposed.
