Tyler and I have built a busy and full life together. Full of light, messy projects, fun adventures and lots of love. It happened slowly, in small ordinary ways. From the beginning, we’ve always been people who like to be outside. Some of our favorite memories are the simplest moments and are always surrounded by nature, the kids, and the doggies. Those moments have always had a way of bringing us back to what actually matters. Somewhere along the way, what started as two people spending time together slowly became something bigger than we initially imagined. We became a family. We grew together little by little. Through showing up for each other. Through patience. Through laughter. Through figuring things out as we go. Tyler stepped naturally into our lives. He chose us day by day. He didn’t try to force change. He fit right into the joy and love that already existed. He showed up with kindness, stillness, and a lot of love. What’s funny is that Tyler and I have always had pretty low bars for what we think makes a good life. We’re not chasing perfection or some picture-perfect version of happiness. We steer clear of grand gestures. We just want our family, we choose our family. By keeping things simple, we ended up with something really sweet. A family . A cozy (but broken and messy home). A life that leaves room for muddy shoes and paws, fresh air, and a lot of laughter. Our big day isnt about a wedding. It’s really about celebrating the life we’ve already been building together one small moment at a time with all of you. If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that the best things in life usually grow quietly. They grow when people keep showing up and choosing each other.
