We met in the Fall of 2014 while working together at a Howard County health club in Columbia, MD. Kevin was the General Manager and I worked there part-time as a shift Manager. I first approached him, asking him out to lunch to get to know him better. After six months of working together, we went out on our first date and have been together ever since. This year marks seven years together.

We got engaged on March 6, 2021, after six years of courtship. On this day Kevin took us on a drive down memory lane. We traveled to various places we spent a lot of time together over the years between Baltimore and Washington, DC; including the place of our first date. At the end of the tour we returned home where I was met with a trail of rose petals leading up to the front door, flowers and a sign that marked the significance of the day that read “TheAsk”. I opened the door to find a continuous trail of rose petals, bouquets of flowers, candle light, balloons, and a MARRY ME marquee. At the end of the trail was and handful of family and friends awaiting our arrival on a zoom call. All the thought, care, and effort that went into pulling it off was every bit worth the down pour of tears and snot running down my face. That day will forever be known as #The Ask. I said “YES!”
