Things To Do

Village Bakery & Cafe, Pittsford NY

5 State Street, Pittsford, NY 14534

Village Bakery is our favorite lunch spot! Get the Basil Chicken Salad or Tuna Melt for lunch and don't skip the Ginger Molasses cookie (Patrick's favorite - yum!)

Next Door by Wegmans

3220 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618

If you're looking for dinner on Friday night make a reservation at Next Door and settle in for fresh sushi and tasty bites from the open Japanese robata grill. For a quicker bite, grab a seat at the bar and enjoy a sushi roll and spicy margarita.

Vern’s

696 Park Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607

Patrick's very favorite restaurant, Vern's is a Rochester staple. It's first come first serve so get here early on Friday. If there's a wait (there will be), hop over to Dorado for guac and a marg while you wait, or to Roux for a Negroni and warm baguette with butter (and maybe a mussel or two). All are part of the Swan Family of Restaurants: our caterer for the reception!

Wegmans

3195 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618

Ansley and Patrick met working in marketing at Wegmans and it's central to the Rochester experience. This is our flagship store and is a fun stop for lunch. The hot sandwich station, made to order salads, and hot bowls are unique features, or get a taste of classic Wegmans with a Danny's Favorite sub (with banana peppers and black olives!)

Melo Coffee & Kitchen

696 University Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607

Patrick used to walk here when he lived in the city - it's a great spot for coffee and light bites.

Canandaigua

Canandaigua, NY 14424

If you have time to spend or are staying in town for an extra day, take advantage of Rochester's proximity to the Finger Lakes and explore the lakeside town of Canandaigua, situated 30 minutes south of the city. Even in the winter, this charming town has shops, restaurants, and striking Finger Lakes views to enjoy.

Hungry's Grill

10 State Street, Pittsford, NY 14534

Hungry's is the place for a late night snack, and because you're in Rochester, that snack should be a garbage plate (or plate wrap). Mac salad, home fries, meat hot sauce, and your choice of cheeseburger or hot dog to top it off. Don't ask questions, just trust us and enjoy.

Pittsford Farms Dairy

44 North Main Street, Pittsford, NY 14534

If Rochester in February isn't cold enough for you, stop by Pittsford Farms Dairy for a scoop or two of their homemade ice cream. It's the one time of year there won't be a line!
