Downtown Franklin is a historic district with plenty of restaurants, shops, and local landmarks. This is the neighborhood where the reception will be held. Ansley's personal favorites in this area are the Frothy Monkey for coffee + brunch, Puckett's for some classic southern food + live music, & Kilwin's for something sweet. Ollie is a big fan of Franklin Juice Cafe, the antique stores, & the gluten free pizza over at Mellow Mushroom. Best explored on foot!
The Factory is a converted old factory (hence the name) that is now home to several popular local restaurants & shops. The hot chicken at Hattie B's is some of the most famous in the state. For a sweet treat, Ollie is a huge fan of Jeni's Ice Cream & Ansley thinks the donuts at Five Daughters are out of this world!
A hiking trail around Radnor Lake with climbs for all activity levels, from a paved loop around the lake to a time worn path up a large hill. Ansley would hike this trail regularly in high school & would highly recommend it to anyone looking to connect with nature in Nashville.
For those looking to experience some classic Nashville nightlife & go Honky Tonking -- Broadway is the place to be! Live music, dancing, and drinks as far as the eye can see between Broadway & 2nd to Broadway & 8th. None of the bars will charge a cover so feel free to bounce between as many as you can to truly take it all in. Tootsie's, The Stage, & Nudie's are some of the most popular, but the whole street's a party.
A beautiful winery to spend an evening at. Wine flights are $16 and outside food is encouraged, but some light bites are available on site.
For those driving in, we highly recommend stopping at Dollywood on your trip! Located approximately three and a half hours east of Franklin, Dollywood is an incredible theme park in the Smoky Mountains largely inspired by the region's culture and (of course) Dolly Parton! This is Ollie's favorite place he's been in Tennessee, so if you're able to make it work we highly recommend.
