Is there a dress code?Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal or Black Tie optional - Our venue is modeled after Historic Williamsburg and truly encompasses its classic and formal nature. Our ceremony will take place in the Gardens of the Whythe Estate, thus we encourage guests to fully take on the garden party aesthetic! Please dress in what you feel best embodies your own personal style / comfort while still kindly respecting the formal nature of our special day. Thanks!

Are kids welcome?Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love and cherish all the children that are apart of our lives! However, due to space restrictions, we have decided to keep our age limit to 18+ for our special day. We are happy to provide contact information for trusted sitters in the Blue Ridge area upon request if needed. Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation, as we cannot thank you enough for all of the love and support while we venture through this next season of life!

Can I bring a date?Can I bring a date?

Answer

We so appreciate the importance of significant others in each and everyone of your lives! However, due to space and budget restrictions, we kindly ask that you do not bring a date unless given a plus one. We want to make sure that we not only give each and every one of our guests the best experience possible but we also respect the boundaries and guidelines stipulated by the venue! Thus, please divert to you invitations for plus one status. Thank you!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing valet service for all of our guests that covers both the ceremony and reception. Upon arrival, please follow signs to the ceremony site. After descending the grand driveway of the Whythe Estate, there will be a round-about where valet will meet you! Your car will then be parked on the back half of the property until departure.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be starting promptly at 5:30 PM. We ask that all guests arrive by 5:00 PM to allow time to valet, pick up a welcome drink, and find your seats!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Both of our recommended hotels are within one mile of the venue! If you do not want to drive to the venue, we recommend a ride share service that should be easily available at the time of the wedding! If you are staying at an AirBNB or alternative lodging further from the venue, we recommend taking advantage of our on site valet service!
