“In this life and the next”

We met on my (Ansley’s) birthday, at the pool hall we both frequently play at. I had met with a couple of friends to celebrate and play some pool when I noticed him at a corner table with a client of mine. I had definitely spotted him a few times before, playing on league nights but was never quite bold enough to say hello. This night, however, I used chatting with my client as a good excuse to go over and it didn’t take long for Austin to introduce himself to me. He asked for my number saying he was interested in getting a tattoo, though I questioned his true intentions now. I walked back to the bar where my friends waited and stated to my bestie (now maid of honor) “I am going to marry him one day.” We definitely laughed that off at that moment though. A couple nights later I was at the pool hall again and spotted him playing pool alone. I bought him a beer and asked to join him for “just a game of pool” and the rest is history. We hit it off and have been together almost every day since. Absolutely Smitten. 🖤
