We are so thrilled to have you join us in a few short months! We created this website to be the main hub for #allthethings wedding weekend! Please take time to click through each page for the weekend schedule, hotels, things to do, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and more! This website will also be used to officially RSVP for the wedding.
We first met in 2014 through mutual friends when Anslee would tag along with her lifelong best friend, Katie, to go see “The Guys” in Atlanta. Little did we know that these casual hangouts over the years would lead to our forever story…😊 Over time and through different life seasons, we kept in touch and always gravitated toward each other when we were with our friends. Even outside of group get-togethers, we found ourselves texting each other to meet up after work to grab drinks or dinner…which Chad would always pay for even as “just friends.” Close friends would make comments about how we should “just date already!” Anslee tried (for a year!) to stay just friends and Chad remained patient through it all. If you know Chad, you know he is persistent. Then in the summer of 2018, we were each other’s date to different weddings – and this was the turning point. It was shortly after these weddings we couldn’t deny there was something special there and decided to officially define the relationship. Our first date (June 15, 2018, to be exact) was dinner at South City Kitchen followed by bowling, where Anslee beat Chad two out of three games! A few weeks later, we nonchalantly surprised a group of friends at a Braves game with THE handhold to break the news they had been wanting to come true. Hence, “Chanslee,” was created. 4 years’ worth of memories later and our relationship has grown stronger than ever. We’ve been through a lot - family loss and illness; the pandemic; living far apart; building a house during the Great Lumber Crisis, and even welcoming a furry pup named Maggie! Chad proposed on April 16, 2022, on the steps of our newly built front porch with Maggie adorably chomping on a stick in the background. It was simply a beautiful picture of the life we are building and have ahead of us. Our relationship may not have taken the conventional route, but thankfully it’s God who has directed every single second, detail, and moment leading up to this occasion. We are so excited to share our next chapter with our amazing friends and family who have supported, encouraged, and prayed for us along the way. Let’s do this! #Chanslee4Ever
