We grew up just a few streets apart, never knowing that love was quietly weaving its way into our lives, waiting for the perfect moment to reveal itself. Annuschke still remembers the first time she noticed a striking, dark-haired boy in a karate gi, perhaps that’s what sparked her sudden interest in karate (or maybe it really was self-defense… who knows?). Our paths crossed countless times before love ever whispered its name. But in 2010, something shifted. What was once familiar became extraordinary, and that’s when our story truly began. Back then, we were worlds apart: Shaun, effortlessly charming and always in motion with his sports; Annuschke, the quiet bookworm with a quick wit and a thoughtful soul. Somehow, our differences didn’t divide us, they drew us closer. We balanced each other, complemented one another, and slowly, laughter and love filled the spaces between us. We still laugh at each other’s silly jokes. We still finish each other’s sentences and soften each other’s silences. And now, nearly 15 years later, we’re ready to begin our greatest adventure yet, as husband and wife, surrounded by all our loved ones.
