Annsley & Scott both attended college at the University of Arkansas at the same time, yet their paths somehow never crossed. Life moved on and they had both grown up, built careers of their own, and both ended up living in Florida. Somehow two people who never met in Arkansas both ended up living in Florida just minutes away from each other. Scott got a message from a mutual friend from Arkansas. And it wasn't just a casual "Hey, you should meet this person" message. It was more like "You need to reach out to her". So Scott reached out and planned a date. And we thank God that he did! Their first date wasn't one of those "let's see how this goes" kind of dates. Somewhere between easy conversation and wholesome laughter, they both had the same thought - this is it. As Annsley sat on the floor at her parent's house the day after the first date, she very confidently and casually said "I'm definitely going to marry him!" Over the last year, that familiar "this is it" has only gotten stronger. Scott would say that he very strategically planned the proposal. He proposed the day before Annsley's birthday because he thought that would totally catch her off guard, but she knew it was coming. Annsley said she knew he was acting just a little too calm. Whether it was a surprise or not, it was a moment they had both been waiting for. It was truly a blessing that we were in the same place at the same time all those years ago, yet our paths never crossed. This is a reminder to us that God's timing is inevitable and His plan for our lives will never be late.
