It all started on a veggie farm located in the Central Coast region of California. Two East Coasters met while picking chard and lettuce, and bonded over their love of the outdoors and growing food. After the season ended, we moved up to the mountains of North Lake Tahoe. We spent our days skiing, hiking, swimming, and camping. Matt was able to find a great community of musicians to work with, and Annora discovered a love of mountain biking. Matt proposed to Annora while hiking in Nepal, using a cheap ring bought on the roadside that has held up surprisingly well. We loved Tahoe, but in 2019, decided it was time to move closer to our ancestral homeland of the East Coast. Matt, as an audio-visual professional, got a job at a hotel in downtown Nashville doing live events. Annora was able to rediscover her passion for horticulture, doing marketing for a plant nursery located just outside of the Nashville city limits. We loved the people we met in Nashville, and had a great time scouting out the local music scene and exploring the wilds that inspired folk heroes like Daniel Boone and Davey Crockett. Also okra. So delicious and underrated. In 2020, COVID accelerated our plans to move within driving distance to our families, and we relocated to the East Coast. We eventually landed in Granville, a charming town in Upstate New York close to mountains, rivers, and lakes. We bought a house, and proceeded to get pretty carried away with the renovations. Matt was able to shift his career path to pursue his interest in woodworking and carpentry, and Annora continues to work in the nursery business. Now closer to our families, it's time to do the darn thing and get married. It's been a wild ride, and we are both excited for the adventures to come.
