What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 2:30 pm. Please arrive at the church 30 minutes early, at 2:00 pm, to allow time for parking and seating. For the cocktail hour, the cruiseship will leave the harbor at 5:45 pm. Please arrive at the venue least 15 minutes early, at 5:30pm, to allow time for boarding.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding and reception will take place fully indoors. Weather permitting, we will take the cruiseship around the harbor for the cocktail hour. The cruiseship offers both indoor and outdoor options with an open-air top deck.

What if I dont want to go on the cruiseship?

Answer

The Beauport Cruiselines boat is large enough that guests should not experience motion sickness. However, we understand that not all guests are comfortable on boats. If you would like to skip the boat ride, light snacks and refreshments will be provided in the Harbor Room at the wedding venue during cocktail hour. Please notify the bride and groom in advance if you know you will not be joining us on the boat so we can make the necessary arrangements with the venue.

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is formal/black-tie optional. Think mid to floor length gowns for the ladies; fun summer coastal colors are encouraged. Please avoid any colors typically reserved for the bride, such as whites, creams, and ivories. Dark suits are encouraged for the gentlemen.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We love your children, but due to venue limitations, this will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you can use our special day to have a well-deserved night off!

Will there be parking available?

Answer

Our Lady of Good Voyage Church has an adjacent parking lot for guests. In the unlikely occurrence that the parking lot is full, street parking is also available. Cruiseport has on-site valet parking.
