Some may wonder, "Why are they getting married in Florence, AL?". We want to share with you a little history as to why. Ann Katherine's Family: Her mother was born and raised in Florence, AL, and her grandparents Gene and Ann Harris had a long-standing history in this special town. Most of the Harris family has been baptized, confirmed, married, and buried at Trinity Episcopal Church, making Emmet and Ann Katherine the third generation to be married there. As for Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club, it has its own history. Gene and Ann were members for many years and many Harris family events have been celebrated at this beautiful club on the Tennessee River, including Ann Katherine's parent's wedding reception. It holds many memories, from Gene teaching her father to golf to her and her cousins spending summers by the pool. Emmet's Family: The world is always smaller than it seems, as luck would have it Emmet's cousin Ryan Keane, ended up marrying a girl from Florence, AL. Little did Emmet know when he moved to Nashville, that Angelynn, Ryan, and Abbey Keane (his cousins) would introduce him to a girl who had her own ties to this little town. From the first moment, Emmet visited Turtle Point, he knew how special it was and decided this would be the place he would propose to Ann Katherine. Now, thanks to Angelynn's parents Bob and Ann Edwards, they get to celebrate this very special day at a very special place that holds many memories.
