Yes. AND this is really because the events are all outdoors. That said: 1. If you are having cold- or flu-like symptoms please consider bowing out, and/or modifying your participation out of respect for other guests. We do want to see you all, AND we also don't want to create a super-spreader event, or get any of our loved ones seriously ill. Taryn reserves the right to ask people to get tested - there are many free PCR options out there. ;) 2. While we know germs don't care where they are in order to spread, it is a lot less likely in an outdoor setting with lots of free-flowing air currents (*and it can be really pretty windy here). But, there are indoor restrooms, and some events, such as dining - in an outdoor tent - and the Saturday night dancing in which people can be in closer contact with each other. Feel free to participate in a way that feels most comfortable to you. 3. Masks can be worn at any time, and hand-washing options will be abundant.
Yep - just please let us know as soon as possible! There is a part of the RSVP process that asks you to answer a question about this.
Yes indeedy. We plan to spend our weekend together outdoors, so there will be some exposure to nature, including ticks. Deer ticks can be very tiny and we recommend that you check yourself for ticks after a day in the beautiful outdoors. Insect repellent with DEET is also effective against ticks.
Yes, please come prepared to spend all together-time outside! If you have a favorite sunscreen, bug spray, etc, bring 'em! We also have cattle free-ranging on most of our property, though not in the main party area. That said, if you plan to go hiking around with us, plan to bring shoes that you are ok getting muddy, cow-poo-y, and clothes that will protect you from nettles, cow parsnip, thorny plants, etc. We have *only a few* big trails, and the rest of the most beautiful walks can get a little rugged. These are, of course optional.
Yep. There will be kids of all different ages here, and we will be making some alternate recommendations for people who don't feel like tubing over nap time is the best idea on Saturday.
June 15th please - mostly so that we know how much food to prepare for each meal!
