This really starts years before, when little junior high versions of Nathan and Anni decide they both want to throw things at a track and field meet, thousands of miles apart. Many track meets later, they both decide to keep throwing things in college and wind up on the same team at Calvin College. Time went on. They started eating lunch together, then watching movies most Friday nights. He introduced her to Star Trek. She bought ice cream to surprise him during finals. When they finally went out on a date, every single one of their friends said "called it!". That was a couple of years ago. Learning how to be a history teacher and a civil engineer took us down very different paths. We took different classes. We made new friends. He got a house, and I moved into an on-campus apartment. We grew! But we still got the same sandwiches at Uppercrest together. One of the only good things about the pandemic is that we had each other. I lost my internship; Nate went though a period of job uncertainty. But we could still see each other, cook together, and plan for the day that things wouldn't be as bad. The pandemic is still going, but we're still planning, and now those plans involve our wedding and a shared home! We have been blessed with good jobs and supportive families, and now we are hoping that you'll bless us by celebrating our marriage with us!
