Great water-side location for lunch in Sausalito! One of John and Annika's favorite casual spots on the water to stop for beer and pub-food. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (on the dock).
California Gold
In John and Annika's opinions, California Gold is by far the best cocktail bar around. Walking through the front door, you are teleported back in time, as the bar hearkens back to an earlier era in California’s history. The bartenders are fantastic, there is something for everyone, and "Golden Hour" is from 4-6 pm. You can bring food into the establishment as they do not serve food. Cheers!
Smitty's Bar
This bar has nearly 100 years of history on Caledonia Street in Sausalito. Open until 2 AM most nights, Smitty's is an excellent choice for continued celebration after Friday's Welcome Party ;)
Taste of Rome
A fun, Italian cafe near Sausalito's waterfront with indoor and outdoor tables. Great place to stop for coffee and continue strolling along the harbor.
Bay Model Visitor Center
Check out the Bay Model! The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Bay Model is a working hydraulic scale model of the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta System.
Rodeo Beach
Rodeo Beach is a beautiful pebbly beach that John and Annika have visited countless times over the years. Down the hill from Battery Townsley and nestled between Fort Cronkhite, and the Marin Headlands Visitor Center, Rodeo Beach is a great place to start a day's visit in the Headlands. Also a stone's throw from Sausalito.

Since 1986, this homestyle cafe has been serving seasonal breakfast, brunch & lunch fare in Marin County. John and Annika always grab a to-go carton of Comfort's signature Chinese Chicken Salad for lunch!
Tennessee Valley Trailhead
If you are looking for an easy, hour or so hike through CA coastal native plants and wildflowers, and a (chilly) dip in the ocean, check out Tennessee Valley Trail.
Marin Country Mart
Highly recommend grabbing a bite at Souvla, the Greek eatery, or breakfast at Rustic Bakery, and take a stroll through their open air shopping "village" right on the bay.
Bay Area Discovery Museum
If you’re looking for a kid friendly activity, we highly recommend this! Both Annika and John have fond memories of visiting the museum as children. Also, it’s next to Travis Marina- the wedding location!
