Annika and Daniel met in Phoenix, Arizona on May 2nd, 2018. Both were student workers at the local college restaurant. He was eyeing her behind the bar and she was catching glimpses at him from the hostess stand. After driving her home one night from work, Daniel worked up the courage to ask her to church the following Sunday. Annika, crushing hard, did not know it was a date until he surprised her with lunch in Scottsdale after the sermon. The chemistry was so good they decided to continue the date with tickets to a movie. A few days later they shared their first kiss during a tailgate for two underneath the stars at Lake Pleasant. Both knew God was in the works of something special! They spent the rest of the summer making more memories together and falling harder in love. During that time, Daniel accepted a job with West Metro as a firefighter/paramedic. On July 30th he left to start building a life for the two of them in Colorado while she stayed to finish her undergraduate degree. They dated long distance until finally reunited in December 2019.

Daniel proposed with a stunning ring on the top of Sunset Hill overlooking Lake Pleasant in Arizona. He wanted to reminisce and encompass the place where they shared their first kiss. She said YES of course! They celebrated afterwards with friends at a delicious Brazilian steak house.

Due to COVID-19 and uncertainty of future restrictions, we have decided to have a private ceremony in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with immediate family only. We would love for our extended family and friends to celebrate with us at either one of our receptions that will be held on private property and will not be cancelled! One will be hosted in Littleton, CO on June 6th, 2021 and the other in Santa Ynez, CA on June 10th, 2021. We're excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you!
