Our theme is celestial desert! We ask guests to observe a semi-formal dress code, with consideration for the hot weather of Phoenix in June. Please make sure you will be as comfortable as possible in 100°+ weather. Keep in mind the wedding will be in the church, so modesty appropriate to the church setting is appreciated.
The Phoenix area in June is incredibly hot, with an average daily high temperature of 103 degrees. There will be air conditioning in the church and the reception venue, but please plan accordingly to maintain your safety when outdoors and traveling. We recommend indoor activities or finding a place to stay with a pool!
The All Saints Catholic Newman Center is about half an hour drive from the Fountain Hills Community Center. For more details, please see our travel page.
Please text or call Annika or Joseph!
The Rite of Matrimony will be celebrated within the Holy Mass. The Eucharist is the primary sacrament. All other sacraments, including Marriage, find their source and meaning in the Eucharist. In this primary sacrament, it is the total self-donation of Jesus that nourishes and gives life to the Church. We are delighted to have you all as witnesses to our wedding and to share in this great mystery. We will have programs at the Mass to help you follow along.
As Catholics, we are encouraged to receive Communion devoutly and frequently. In order to be properly disposed to receive Communion, participants should not be conscious of grave sin and normally should have fasted for one hour. Because Catholics believe that the celebration of the Eucharist is a sign of the reality of the oneness of faith, life, and worship, members of those churches with whom we are not yet fully united are ordinarily not admitted to Holy Communion. All who are not receiving Holy Communion are encouraged to express in their hearts a prayerful desire for unity with the Lord Jesus and with one another. If you will not be receiving Holy Communion, we ask you to remain in your pew and offer your prayers for our marriage or to come forward to receive a blessing from the priest. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask us!
