Guest entry is at 5:00 pm.
Guests may wait at the Lower Garden entrance gate until that time, but if you arrive way earlier, feel free to enjoy Balboa Park!
You will NOT be able to enter through the main, Upper Garden entrance.
USE ADDRESS: 2220 Paseo De Oro, San Diego CA 92101.
You must type in the entire address or it will not work.
DO NOT search for Japanese Friendship Garden.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING RIDESHARE APPS LIKE UBER OR LYFT: Search for Gold Gulch Parking Lot. Guests may be dropped off at the Organ Pavilion Lot or the Lower Garden entrance gate. There is a turnaround spot a few hundred feet past the Lower Garden entrance gate (see photos below).
DRIVING - NO PARKING PERMIT: Park in the Organ Pavilion Lot (closest) or any other lot in Balboa Park - this is paid parking. We will have a complimentary shuttle at the Organ Pavilion Lot for guests.
DRIVING - WITH PARKING PERMIT: Navigate to 2220 Paseo De Oro, San Diego CA 92101.
