Our Story

Hey there! Bubba here! I want to tell you the story of how I played matchmaker for my parents. Grab a treat (and can you bring me one) and get comfy—this is going to be a good one! So, let’s start at the beginning. For the first three years of my life, it was just me and Papa. We had tons of adventures, moved to a few places, and had so much fun together! I couldn’t imagine anything better. But then, for some strange reason, Papa decided to leave me for three whole months and travel all over South America. Can you believe that?! But looking back, I’m really glad he did. You see, while Papa was off exploring, I got to stay with some of my best pals—Auntie Mary, Uncle Kevin, and my best buddy Jack. They took amazing care of me, and I had the best time. But soon, Auntie Mary and Uncle Kevin decided to go on their own adventure to South America to visit Papa! So, Jack and I were sent to some strangers’ house because Auntie Jessica didn’t want to watch us. Her loss, our gain, right? Now, let me tell you about Annie. From the moment I walked into her house, I knew this was going to be special. We had the most wonderful week together! We went on long walks, snuggled up on the couch for movies, had tons of treats, and played fetch (my absolute favorite). It was like a dream come true. But, I knew it couldn’t last forever. After only a week with Annie, I packed up and went to my grandparents' house to play frisbee with my grandpa, snuggle with grandma, and romp with Ruby and Gus. I had such a great time with them, but I was still a little sad, not knowing when I’d see Annie again. But then, something amazing happened. Papa finally came home :) and just in time for the new year! Papa knew he really owed me for leaving me for so long, and do you want to know how he made it up to me!? He invited Annie up to Bellingham (well actually Auntie Jessica and Uncle Calvin invited Annie up, but Papa still gets some credit for this) to celebrate the beginning of 2023 with us! I was so excited, I jumped on her (which I never do) and showered her with kisses, lots of kisses. That night, we stayed up late playing cards, and I could just tell that something magical was happening. Ever since then, it’s been me, Papa, and Mama—and we couldn’t be happier! We can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you! Xoxo, Bubba
