06.06.2020 Annie, Danny and Zoriah were in Crosslake catching sun on the Derus' beautiful new boat. They stopped at a small island where Danny tried to get them to go explore. Annie was enjoying flowing with the waves way too much at that moment, so a hike through woods was a no-go. Danny quick thought of plan B and instead had the Derus' rush off the boat and onto the island. Now the three alone together, Danny asked Zoriah if they should give Annie her final birthday present. He excitedly agreed and retrieved a little box. He opened the box, only to reveal tiny diamond earrings! This was just what Annie asked for and was so ecstatic! Zoriah then stopped her excitement and said "Wait, wait!" He fumbled with the backing of the earrings and finally was able to lift it up to reveal the true surprise—a beautiful diamond engagement RING! Annie's face lit up, she covered her mouth, and tears began to run as both boys dropped to their knees. Before Danny could even say a word, Zoriah asked, "Will you be my Bonus Mom!?" Danny then proceeded to pop the [second] question: "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me!?" We all hugged, (she said yes!) popped champagne, and said cheers to celebrating our new future family of three!

10.10.2020 10/10 was the most beautiful day we could have asked for of our entire lives. Be sure to watch the video of our small beautiful ceremony and recap of some special moments that followed. We are so so grateful, and are living in bliss from all the love that has surrounded us.
