Our favorite restaurant in Cincy. Make sure to order the Classic Double Cheeseburger (smothered), fries with BOTH the verde and amarillo dipping sauces, and the best chopped salad.
Walkable from our house, Viva India has the best Indian Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. Don't sleep on the garlic naan!
Cozy brunch spot for scrambles, sandwiches, and specials with fresh, local ingredients. Seasonal bee-cakes are always worth it.
Best sandwich shop in town, right off of Hyde Park Square. We love the Hot Heidi and the Upper Peninsula.
Stop by for authentic street tacos, fresh guac and salsa bar, homemade tortilla chips, and awesome margaritas. We used to walk here for dinner from Annie's apartment, located right behind.
Our (and Teddy's) favorite place to hang out with friends, enjoy a drink, and play some Euchre. Madtree has the best indoor/outdoor space and a wide variety of beverages (and food/snacks) to enjoy.
Right in Oakley Square, Deeper Roots is a specialty coffee shop focused on partnering with small coffee farming communities. This is the place for those who have deep appreciation for seriously good coffee!
Swing by the square on Sunday morning for the Hyde Park Farmer's Market (walkable from the Residence Inn on a nice day). Fresh pastries, bread, produce, and flowers galore.
If you are looking to get some steps in, head to Wasson Way, which runs from Xavier University all the way to Wooster Pike on the far east side. This paved trail is full of walkers, runners, bikers, and dogs and passes through our nearby neighborhoods.
With a trail right in our backyard, Ault Park is one of the largest parks in Cincy. This hilltop park overlooks the Little Miami River valley and has a large pavilion and flower garden, perfect for picnicking.
If you are here for a few days, we recommend heading to Findlay Market in Over-the-Rhine (OTR). It is Ohio's oldest continuously operated public market and part of the onetime German neighborhood and is now full of craft breweries, hip gastropubs, and trendy bars. Cincinnati Music Hall and Washington Park are also must-sees in the area.
