What are Welcome Drinks? Just that. A chance to get together for two hours on Friday night to unwind, toast the happy couple and share a beer or a glass of wine. And to meet some other wedding guests. The Washington Irving Boat Club has a ritzy-sounding name, but it has a very relaxed atmosphere. T-shirts and shorts are fine. It's right under the Tappan Zee with a great view of the Hudson. Transportation to and from the Tarrytown House Estate (10 minutes each way) will be provided. The first bus will depart from the lobby of the Tarrytown House Estate at 7:00 pm sharp. The second bus will depart from the Tarrytown House lobby at 7:30 pm.

Okay, this is very important: To drive onto the Fordham University campus, you must enter "2691 Southern Boulevard" into your GPS. If you enter "Fordham University" or "Fordham University Church," some GPS systems will send you on the scenic route, which includes lots of red lights and bumper-to-bumper traffic. You might even end up at The Bronx Zoo. Once you enter the campus, drive straight to the guard house. The guard will tell you where to park. Most likely, that will be in the parking garage- at no charge. Please wear comfortable shoes, as it's a bit of a walk from the parking garage to the University Church. And, please plan to be at the Church by 1:30 p.m. The Nuptial Mass will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. Please plan for New York City traffic, and yes, the Yankees are playing at 1:00 that day. If you would like to drop off a member of your party at the Church before you park, the guard can direct you. However, there is not parking lot at the Church.

Join us for dinner, dancing and sweet soul music provided by Atomic Funk Project. Sinatra. Springsteen. Beyonce and Beyond. If you’re not on the dance floor, you’ll need to answer to the bride.

The After Party. Join us at Cellar 49 for drinks, a game of pool, and foosball from 11 pm to 1:30 a.m. Likely, a speakeasy during Prohibition, the Cellar is just steps away from the main ballroom. Of course, you need to negotiate the steps after a 5-hour reception, but we have faith. Full Disclosure - this will be a cash bar event. Someone, please buy my dad a drink.

Tarrytown House serves breakfast each day from 7:00-10:30 AM, and it is included for two people in each room reservation. Let's go over our "Favorite/Least Favorites" of the weekend over fresh omelettes and waffles. The Bride and Groom will most likely arrive around 9:00 AM.
