Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Annie Czerwinski and Nick Reynolds
Chicago is truly one of the greatest cities in the world, and we’re so grateful to call it home. With endless things to do and incredible food to try, there’s always something new to explore. Here are a few of our favorites.

Grant Park & Lakefront

Chicago, IL

Located directly across from The Blackstone, Grant Park offers a beautiful setting to enjoy the vibrant fall foliage. Feeling adventurous? Take a scenic stroll along the lakefront and soak in stunning views of the skyline.

Architecture River Boat Tour

Chicago, IL

This is always our top recommendation for anyone visiting Chicago. We’ve each done it 5 or 6 times and still discover something new with every trip—all while enjoying breathtaking views that never get old. And even if architecture isn’t your thing, there’s a bar on board! *Weather permitting

The Art Institute & Museum Campus

Chicago, IL

Chicago is home to many world-class museums. Explore the Art Institute, where you’ll find the second-largest collection of Impressionist art in the world—think Monet, Degas, and more. Or, head to the Shedd Aquarium to catch the dolphin show and check out the penguins. A perfect way to spend the day, especially if the weather isn't cooperating.

Lincoln Park Zoo

Chicago, IL

One of Chicago’s most beloved spots, Lincoln Park Zoo is free, fun, and perfect for all ages. Nestled just north of downtown, it’s a great place to wander, see animals up close, and enjoy views of the city skyline. Plus, the surrounding neighborhood of Lincoln Park is filled with great shops, restaurants, and bars. Head to the nearby Conservatory if you want to check out a botanical garden.

Eleven City Diner

1112 South Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60605

Amazing nearby brunch spot. There's a bit of a wait on weekends, so throw your name in early!

Flo & Santos

1310 South Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60605

Our favorite casual restaurant in South Loop. A blend of Polish and Italian food, this place is a staple of the neighborhood. Some of the best Chicago tavern-style pizza in the city (we think)!

Oliver’s

1639 South Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60616

A new, upscale restaurant in South Loop. We went opening weekend and have loved it ever since. Ask us for specific food recs, but everything we've had here has been amazing. Grab a reservation for this one.

Buttercup

75 East 16th Street, Chicago, IL 60616

"Cafe by Light, Amaro by Night." Get you a place that can do both! From exquisite coffee and pastries to creative cocktails and snacks, this unique place is a newfound love of ours. Fun fact: it was created by the chef at Oliver's. Walk-ins only!

The Spoke & Bird

205 East 18th Street, Chicago, IL 60616

Great spot in South Loop to get some coffee and/or quick breakfast and sit out on their large brick patio to enjoy your morning.
