Mike texted this to Annie after their first date.
• This event will follow all CDC recommended guidelines. There are 67 people (including bride and groom) in attendance. All wedding guests over the age of 12 are vaccinated. All vendors are either vaccinated or have shown a recent negative COVID test as per city guidelines. Servers wear masks. The ceremony is outdoors. Second line is outdoors. The welcome event and wedding reception have indoor and outdoor options so you can stay where you feel comfortable. Food and bar service is held indoors. This is not your typical wedding with assigned seats. It's reception style and you can grab your food/drinks indoors and go where ever you feel comfortable. • New Orleans has a new vaccine mandate for events and you will now need to show your vaccine card to get into the wedding. You can show a photo on your phone of the front and back of your vaccine card, or bring the actual card, or a copy of the front and back of the card. This is also to get into all bars and restaurants in the city. • I’m sure you heard, but Jazz Fest was canceled, so we expect the city to be less crowded and more affordable. Our wedding & welcome reception are mostly outdoors but there will be an indoor buffet/bar where we can mask up, get our food/drinks, and take it outside where we will eat, drink, dance and go absolutely bananas. • Also, bring a mask! Masks are required indoors in NOLA. • The hotel had very minimum damage from Ida and is back up and running as normal. October is still technically in hurricane season (although passed the peak time). It is also a popular month for weddings because of the nice temperatures. The venue had very few options available for us when we asked to reschedule in 2020. We will all follow the weather closely. Also, don't feed the alligators.
